The hot spring water itself is another highlight. Hasunuma Onsen uses sodium-chloride and bicarbonate carbonated cold mineral water, which is classified as mildly alkaline and gentle on the skin. The water is smooth and soft, making it comfortable for almost anyone to enjoy. Thanks to its carbonated properties, the water helps to expand blood vessels and improve circulation after being absorbed through the skin.

Because of this, the onsen is known to help relieve neuralgia, muscle pain, and joint stiffness, as well as aid in fatigue recovery. It is also said to be effective for improving cold sensitivity and easing chronic skin conditions. After soaking, your skin feels noticeably softer and refreshed, thanks to the mild acidity and natural astringent effect of the carbonated water.
